Prayer to the banana slug

I call out to the spirit of the banana slug.  
I invoke your ability to stay bright even when others turn their head in disgust. 
Your golden yellow hue doesn't fade with each cruel whisper reminding me that the opinions of others are only superficial.
​May all cruel judgement slide off my back as I shine bright and move forward.
